Peace One Day founder Jeremy Gilley Launches a New Film-based Online Education Resource on Non-violence, Anti-bullying and Peace
April saw the US roll-out of a free online educational curriculum focusing on conflict resolution and non-violence for teachers and students across the country. The curriculum, recommended for grades 6–12, aims to foster discussion among young people about peace and nonviolence in their schools, local communities, and the world at large. The free online curriculum is designed to be used in conjunction with Gilley’s award-winning documentary film The Day After Peace.
POD Education Resources have been created with special reference to the UK and USA education systems. The resources contain two brand new lesson plans on the Influence of Celebrity and Working with Corporations, making a total of 19 student-centred lesson plans. Also included are Peace Day Projects, Cross-curricular Links, and video footage from The Day After Peace as well as messages of support.
