4 PhD positions in Peace and Development Research

The School of Global Studies is a creative multidisciplinary environment for research and education in globalisation and global issues. Research and education is carried out within disciplines such as: Human Ecology, Human Rights, Regional Studies (African Studies, Asian Studies, Latin American Studies, Middle East Studies), Peace and Development Research and Social Anthropology.

The general idea behind the formation of the School of Global Studies is to combine the different disciplines and subjects into one single department with a common research agenda, together forming the emerging field of global studies. The School’s research strategy places particular emphasis on inter- and multidisciplinary research groups that complement and integrate the disciplinary research. There are currently seven research groups at the School: Global Gender Studies, Global Heritage Studies, Global Sustainability Studies, Indigenous Studies, Migration and Diversity, Reconstruction and Intervention, and Resistance Studies.

The School of Global Studies offers three PhD programmes: Peace and Development Research, Social Anthropology and Human Ecology. The School is now looking for a total of 5 PhD candidates, who would find it stimulating to study and work within the School’s innovative research environment.

Details and guidelines for applications can be found on the University website "Job application portal" and at the School of Global Studies website, "Postgraduate studies".
