A policy brief by FriEnt, Brot für die Welt, Germanwatch, Search for Common Ground, and World Vision
COP30 presents an opportunity to integrate climate action with peace and security by adopting conflict-sensitive approaches to mitigation, adaptation, and loss and damage. Evidence shows that climate change intensifies tensions and vulnerabilities, especially in fragile states, yet these countries receive only a small portion of necessary climate finance, highlighting the need for targeted, peace-promoting interventions.
