Peace in Sustainable Development: Aligning the 2030 Agenda with Women, Peace and Security 

The 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development, adopted in 2015, acknowledges that peace is essential for achieving sustainable development. Nevertheless, it falls short in addressing the critical intersection of gender and peace. In response, the Global Network of Women Peacebuilders (GNWP) has developed this policy brief to explore the connections between the Women, Peace and Security (WPS) agenda and the 2030 Agenda, and to offer concrete recommendations for their integrated implementation.
