2025/26 Global Women, Peace and Security (WPS) Index

The 2025/26 Global Women, Peace and Security (WPS) Index ranks 181 countries on women’s inclusion, justice, and security, scoring them from 0 to 1, with Denmark leading and Afghanistan at the bottom. Produced by the Georgetown Institute for Women, Peace and Security and partners, the fifth edition shows that global progress on women’s status is stalling, though some conflict-affected countries demonstrate notable improvements.
