Call for Papers: Soziale Verteidigung voranbringen

Im September 2024 ist in Bielefeld eine wissenschaftliche Tagung zum Thema Soziale Verteidigung geplant. Mit dem Plan dieser Tagung möchte der Bund für soziale Verteidigung Wissenschaftler*innen aus ganz Europa einladen, Papiere und Studien zur Weiterentwicklung der Sozialen Verteidigung vorzubereiten und in Bielefeld vorzutragen.

Wie wichtig ein angemessener Umgang mit den Toten ist, wird nicht zuletzt mit Blick auf die aktuellen Krisen deutlich: Im Kontext von Krieg, Unrechtsherrschaft und Terror werden Verletzungen des angemessenen Umgangs nicht selten gezielt als Waffen eingesetzt.

Globaler Militarisierungsindex 2023

Der Globale Militarisierungsindex (GMI) des BICC bildet jährlich in einem Ranking den Militarisierungsgrad von Ländern ab, indem er misst, welche Ressourcen ein Staat seinem Militärapparat im Verhältnis zu anderen gesellschaftlichen Bereichen zuweist. Der diesjährige Regionalteil beschäftigt sich mit dem postsowjetischen Raum.
