Women, Peace and Security Survey
The Women, Peace, and Security (WPS) Survey, conducted by the Georgetown Institute for Women, Peace and Security (GIWPS), gathered insights from nearly 3,000 women peacebuilders across 121 countries, highlighting their pivotal roles in community transformation and the challenges they encounter. Findings reveal that while women significantly influence local spheres, they often lack representation in formal decision-making bodies; additionally, issues such as poverty, inadequate funding, and personal risks like burnout and mental health concerns impede their peace and security efforts.
