A New Era in Syria: What it means for regional politics, peace and reconstruction
The collapse of the Assad regime after 13 years of uprisings marks a turning point in Syria’s history. The rapid and unexpected advancement of HTS (Hay’at Tahrir al-Sham), SNA (Syrian National Army), and southern opposition forces — achieved through unprecedented coordination and minimal resistance — has profoundly altered the political and security landscape of the country. This development raises critical questions about Syria’s future governance, security dynamics, and economic reconstruction.
This panel brings together experts to examine the critical challenges facing Syria in the aftermath of the Assad regime's collapse. Through a moderated discussion, three distinguished speakers will provide insights on governance, security dynamics, reconstruction, and the conditions needed for displaced Syrians to return and rebuild their lives.
