Steering Stakeholder Processes

The 4-day training is offered to practitioners of peace and conflict work, humanitarian or development cooperation, or those who intend to work in these fields.

Conflict transformation and peacebuilding projects often require bringing together the collective capacities, resources, and perspectives of various stakeholders to address a diverse set of issues and challenges, and as well to have greater chances of achieving its goals and objectives. There are however a few challenges and risks to a multi-stakeholder approach that needs careful consideration.

This seminar will dive deeper into different forms of stakeholder engagements, focussing on the dynamic contexts and shrinking spaces that form a challenge in most conflict contexts. At the same time, the seminar allows for a critical reflection on legitimacy, existing power asymmetries and other risks and challenges connected to engaging with various stakeholder with different or opposing interest, values and working approaches.
