The Women, Peace, and Security Agenda at 25 Years: What is next in an era of a changing world order?
Roundtable and Q&A with PRIF Researchers and Members of PRIF’s Scientific Advisory Board
The WPS agenda turns 25 in an environment characterized by geopolitical tensions, strong men mentalities and anti-feminist sentiments. What does this mean for the goals of the WPS agenda to institutionalize gender equality in peace and security politics and thus contributing to the proctection of marginalized groups, the prevention of violence and the equal representation of women and other marginalized groups? Have the achievements of the past 25 years been internalized to the extent that they provide a stable foundation for gender justice in an increasingly insecure world? Where is the WPS agenda coming under pressure? And how can it continue to develop in order to meet current and future challenges?
