SumOfUs Rising Voices Fellowship
SumofUs - a new world-wide movement for a better global economy - is specifically designing this fellowship for people who have roots in or deep relationships with communities that have faced race- or ethnicity-based discrimination. Those communities are less widely represented in rapid-response online campaigning, and with this Fellowship, SumOfUs hopes to help address that problem at its root.
In this hands-on paid fellowship, fellows will be supported by leaders in the field to learn and experiment with online rapid-response campaigning. Along with two to three other people, he/she’ll research campaign ideas. S/he’ll practice writing emails and social media content that get people to take action. S/he’ll build campaign strategies that put major corporations on the defensive. And s/he’ll do it from wherever he or she is now, because she or he will be joining the virtual office.
The goal for this fellowship is to train rapid-response online campaigners who will be qualified for a campaigner job at any of the dozens of organizations like SumOfUs that do rapid-response online campaigning. SumOfUs will make sure fellows are among the first to hear about full-time campaigner jobs with SumOfUs when those positions are available.
