Climate, Peace and Security: Entry points for EU engagement in complex partnership contexts. Perspectives on the Sahel

This meeting report documents discussions between civil society organisations and EU institutions on how climate and environmental programming can create opportunities for engagement in contexts with limited diplomatic access. Drawing on experiences from the Sahel, it explores the opportunities and risks of Climate, Peace and Security (CPS) approaches and identifies key lessons for the region. The report also provides recommendations for EU political engagement, programming, funding and regional cooperation.
