The Berlin Moot

A CONFERENCE PIONEERING NEW APPROACHES TO PEACE

The Berlin Moot will bring together policymakers and global experts from a variety of disciplines with peace practitioners and mediators to discuss new peacemaking approaches. As conflicts are escalating at an alarming rate in different regions, established methods and actors are facing apparent limits to their effectiveness. At The Berlin Moot, we will develop innovative peacemaking tools that address the current complexity of war and conflict.

The Berlin Moot ist hosted by the Berghof Foundation and as an invitation-only event with 200 participants who will develop specific and actionable recommendations for both policy and practice and foster new alliances for action. Innovative sessions, or ‘PeaceLabs’, will challenge current peacemaking approaches by intersecting existing tools with insights from neuroscience, human rights, transitional justice, and the business sector, among other fields. In addition to international policymakers and practitioners, the conference will feature voices from academia, civil society and the private sector.

Selected panels will be livestreamed and open to the public. You can find more information, including the programme and speakers.
