Block Course: Mainstreaming Crosscutting Themes
Block course with 3 modules
This block course is intended for people who work in or plan to enter the field of civil conflict transformation, non-violent activism, peacebuilding or conflict-sensitive international cooperation.
Peace programming focuses on addressing key conflict driving factors or on addressing specific needs of the conflict affected communities. There are however, diverse themes or aspects that intersect peace programming and affect multiple stakeholders, sectors and project outcomes. Integrating cross-cutting themes into project/program design balances the need for clarity of focus with the need for broader coverage. Further, it helps increase the relevance and effectiveness of interventions, as well as possibly reaching a much wider impact.
