National Dialogue and peacemaking course
As crises intensify across the globe, with protracted conflicts and deeply divided societies, the need for inclusive and peaceful political processes is more urgent than ever. National Dialogues have emerged as a vital mechanism for addressing deep-rooted grievances, rebuilding trust and shaping legitimate, locally owned solutions. In times of uncertainty, they offer a path forward grounded in inclusivity and participation.
Our new online training course on National Dialogues is designed to equip practitioners, policymakers, and peacebuilders with deeper understanding and the tools to support these complex processes effectively. We believe that strengthening these skills is not just timely, it is essential. Join us to learn how inclusive dialogue can help societies navigate division and build sustainable peace.

About the course
This online course brings together expert insights, practical experience and real-world case studies to explore how National Dialogues work in practice. It’s built around three core elements: self-paced learning units, interactive peer-exchange sessions, and live discussions with leading experts. These parts are designed to complement each other: you’ll unpack with your peers what you have learnt on your own and then explore further with experts and practitioners.
We’ll also look at how National Dialogues connect with today’s big issues like climate change, protest movements and digitalisation. The course offers space to reflect on your own practice, be it lessons from past processes or the complexities of ongoing efforts.
The course will be held in English.
